HEADROOM XI the 11th edition in sSHADOWORKSs monthly DJ experience, brings you a unique blend of DJ’s from Durban. Each Month we bring you a guest DJ from outside Cape Town to showcase what’s happening on a national level in South African DJ culture.
Magnum Hi Fi, is no stranger to HEADROOM and has played a two previous editions in 2006. This month he is joined by his brother KID COLT. The combination of these two is going to ensure a night not to forget or remember depending on how you like to party!
Warming up the evening is DJ Lapse, bringing a choice selection of Hip Hop, Trip Hop and Acid Jazz.
Both DJ Lapse and Magnum Hi Fi have recently moved to Cape Town….God help us!

The second in the ‘COMPARING NOTES’ series of CD compilations will be launched on Saturday 14th July. Comprising of 14 instrumental music tracks by a fine selection of South African and international beat composers.
The track selection is done by the prolific DJ/producer, SIBOT. And features top beats from ace producers like DJ DOPE, DANK, BASSNECTAR, Magabo and many more…
The Comparing Notes series is aimed at increasing the flow of ‘underground’ or non-commercial music. A limited run of 100 discs is produced and will be freely available at the launch before 11pm. Unlike the majority of the industry we encourage the copying and sharing of this compilation. You will also be able to download the compilation shortly from www.sshadoworkss.co.za
The outstanding design element of COMPARING NOTES PT II has been handled by CONDUIT STUDIO’S.

Closet Snare have been making waves in the South African Jazz Electro scene with their unique blend of Jazz,breakbeats, trip hop and Groove.They are known for their moving melodies and captivating improvisations.
They are a combination of musicians that have all played with top SA acts such as Lark, Springbok Nude Girls, Hog Hoggidy Hog, Max normal, The Real Estate Agents and Tribe.
This is a coming together of extremely talented and versatile musician who wish to express themselves the way
they want to with no limitations on the creative process and the music itself.
This is a rare opportunity to be a part of the recording process. To actually witness what you will hear on the album which is due for release in about September this year.
