It’s been over a year since we at the sSHADOWORKSs office heard the first samplings of the exciting new Playdoe project. Since then a lot has happened. Well, not too much on local soil but across Europe, Sibot & Spoek have been steadily going from strength to strength.

From the record deal with London Based Label Try Harder, to picking up representation by powerhouse EU/UK booking agents PRIMARY who handle top acts such as Daft Punk, CSS, DJ KRUSH, and LCD Soundsystem and many more. They have had the opportunity to share the stage and hang out with some great artists like Toxic Avenger, Dan le Sac, Msayyid & Anti pop Consortium, Arrested development, DJ Cam, Foreign Beggars…

Along the way Playdoe have generated a fair amount of hype and press, with reviews & support from Guardian UK, NME, MixMag and a host of smaller blogs and online reviewers.

All of this going on, and to date Playdoe has never released a song or played a show on SA soil!
