sSHADOWORKSs is the formalisation and accumulation of nine years worth of rigorous street work on the Cape Town music artist management, international music network and live event promotion scene. Our ethos of music networking and promotion within the non-commercial South African music scene embodies a headspace, an attitude and a concept that declares quality is not a commodity that can be compromised for quantity. sSHADOWORKSs does not concern itself with the run of the mill Cape Town music artist or mainstream culture, but rather invests its energy in tour management, live music concerts, artist management and growing an international music network, developing and enriching niche South African music cultures that ultimately set trends and define genres.

sSHADOWORKSs’ sole intention over the past eight years has been to provide platforms for Cape Town music artists to showcase their talents to their audience through the mediums of live music concerts as well as to cater for fans and corporates alike to be able to enjoy and experience Southern Africa’s fine musical talent, whilst simultaneously marketing South Africa and Cape Town as viable, world class music destinations for international live bands and live music concerts.
How sSHADOWORKSs works…
The basic function of sSHADOWORKSs is to establish networking opportunities between those various elements that constitute the rich fabric of international urban culture. With music as our main focus, this network has begun branching out to include such crucial urban culture facets as fashion, grafitti/street art, culture journalism, graphic design and music video production.
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, sSHADOWORKSs remains focused on developing and exposing an ever-growing range of South African delights, sharing resources with various other independent and aligned urban culture industries within Cape Town and elsewhere around the country in an effort to realise our primary aim of showcasing South African talent to the public whilst nurturing growth in local markets. It is also a top priority of sSHADOWORKSs to strengthen the ties between SA and the international music scene through co-hosting and collaborative efforts.
Due to our anti-commercial, cutting-edge stance, sSHADOWORKSs continuously consults to corporate and brand representatives seeking advice on engaging the urban youth markets and independent artists. Our experience has taught us how to marry these two, often opposing entities (i.e. corporate and independent) to co-exist and to achieve positive results for not only the brand and the consumer, but also the artist and label who are often placed in the compromising situation of making money versus making art.
Having said that; sSHADOWORKSs is not a corporate eventing company. We only work on projects that we truly feel have cultural merit and serve the interests of ALL entities involved.
