Sibot & Storyboy
Sibot & Storyboy - Combining video audio to maximum effect!
Sibot & Storyboy is two of Cape Town’s most foremost creative urban-culture artists in unison, exploring the synchronistic relationships between audio and video.
The duo has only recently formed but already gaining recognition as an act to watch. They have performed at events like Design Indaba 2007 after party, Rustlers festival and Origin festival.
Turntablist Sibot (of Real Estate Agents /Constructus / Chromoscience/ Closet Snare/Max Normal fame) controls the sound design/audio aspect of the outfit.
With a background thick in musical progress, Sibot brings forth his own distinct sound and style. His talents range from arranging rocking dancefloor beat productions and deft turntablisms, to delicate audio compositions and sound design pieces for TV commercials and short films. Through these arts, Sibot reflects a very real and personal understanding of the interaction between music, video and the human mind within a social environment. He has performed widely across South Africa as well as in the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland and even the Reunion Islands.
